A humidor must contain some kind of humidification system to hold moisture from its interior space to maintain the desired level of humidity. A humidor usually contains a hygrometer to measure the humidity level inside the box. A humidor comes with many difference sized depends on how many cigars to store. Most personal humidors are made of wood. Many of cigar aficionados own more then one humidors. Perhaps one large one for home and few smaller ones when they travels.

How to Setup a Humidor
Humidifier is little device that hold moisture inside the humidor. There are two types of humidifier, gel and foam. Genuine Leather Travel Sized Cigar Humidor comes with foam humidifier. If you look inside the humidifier, there is foam inside. When you first set up your humidor, you have to soak the foam with Cigar Humidification solution. You can purchase Cigar Humidification solution in any cigar store. You can use distilled water, but for the best result, use Cigar Humidification solution.
For the best practice, take out the humidifier from the box, and place it in a small cup. Soak the humidifier with cigar humidification solution. You can also use the white tube that comes with the humidor to soak the foam with the solution. Let the solution soak for about 15 to 20 minuets. Then you can put the humidifier back into the humidor.
Hygrometer indicates the moisture level inside the humidor. For the best result, humidity level should stay around 65 to 70. It shouldn’t exceeding 75. If it exceed 75, there is too much moisture. So take out the humidifier for little while to bring the humidity level down. If the humidity level is below 65, the foam needs more the solution.
